    - Zero is only counted after a number greater than zero appears in the figure.

  7. The zero is counted only if the question asks you to round it to lets say 2 significant numbers and the number beside the first significant number is 0

  8. zero is only counted if it is after a non-zero digit. If zero is the first few digits(before a non-zero digit), it is not significant.
